Kutná Hora is located at a distance of 60 km from Prague. Taking a hire car in the center of Prague and visit this remarkable museum city, you have a good time and get pleasant memories of meeting new and interesting places of the Czech Republic.

At the time, Kutná Hora was the main wealth of the Czech land because the town was mined silver, and mined it in large quantities. The town was called a treasure trove of behind the scenes of Czechia and was raised to the second stage after Prague thanks to its untold riches. The city is a prime example of high-rise and gradual fading former glory.

In the city, you can see many sights and monuments of Gothic architecture.

The most famous of them are the Cathedral of St. Barbara (1388-1547) –

 the second largest and significant of the Czech Gothic temples. Amazing for its beauty building can be seen from almost anywhere in the city. Interestingly, that it was built over a long period and has contained a variety of styles. The present decoration of the cathedral – huge stained glass windows, that tell the history of the city and those who have been involved in the construction of the cathedral.

As one of the most famous attractions of Kutná Hora can be called the Kostnice Ossuary or otherwise the Church of All Saints. It is located almost on the outskirts of the city, in the area of Sedlec. The Gothic style building took place in the center of the cemetery. The interior of the ossuary is made of many thousands of human bones, it is a variety of chandeliers, main chandelier and masterpiece coat of arms of eminent family once owned these lands.

You can see more beside the already mentioned attractions in Kutná Hora:

  • Vlašský dvůr (Italian Court) or former mint;
  • Medieval silver mine in the Hrádek Museum of silver;
  • Church of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist – the abode of light.
