The city officials approved a ban on the single-rider personal transporter vehicles throughout Prague’s historical center back in May. Prague’s very first official No Segway signs have gone up in November.
The ban covers areas in Prague districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 - Prague Historical Reserve, the whole of Prague 1, part of Prague 2, Žižkov, Prague 4 and Smíchov area Liben, Letná district. More than half Prague Segway rental sites have shut down since the Czech capital introduced a ban on the two-wheeled vehicles in most of the city centre. The maximum fine is 2,000 crowns.
