Ski-resort Harrachov

The Ski resort Harrachov presents 1 ski tow and 2 chairlifts. You can enjoy skiing on ski slopes of all levels of difficulty in total length over 7km. Ski slops are equipped with snow covering system which provides quality skiing up to 5 months of the year. Snowboarders are allowed on all ski slopes and they can use all ski tows and chairlift. You can also find many smaller private ski slopes in Harrachov.

Harrachov is known as a cross-country skiing paradise. There are 108km of well maintained trails both for beginners and advanced and exacting skiers. Advanced skiers will no doubt appreciate a cross-country trail from Paseky to Studenov and Dvoračky or funicular on Lysá mount and nearby „Krkonoše cross-country trail“ that goes through all Giant Mountains. It offers 120km of marked cross-country trails of the best quality.

Two 7.5km long cross-country circuits start at the lower part of the chairlift in Harrachov sport center. You can start your hiking trips at upper station of the chairlift on Čertova mount. More exacting skiers can use regularly maintained cross-country trail from Rýoviště to Dvoračky or go to Vosecká bouda along the river Mumlava.

Skiing Špindlerův Mlýn

The ski resort Špindlerův Mlýn is located in the Hradec Králové Region (Královéhradecký kraj) (Czech Republic). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 24.3 km of slopes available. 17 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 702 and 1,235 m.

In the middle of the Giant Mountains, the highest mountains in the Czech Republic, lies one of the most well-known and popular ski resorts in the whope of the Czech Republic - the ski resort Špindlerův Mlýn. Situated on the slopes of beatiful velley, in offers 25 km of downhill slopes, 5 cable cars and 11 ski tows, as well 85 km of cross-country routes. Špindlerův Mlýn is ideal for anyone who loves winter sports. These are gentler slopes here for beginners, although more experienced skiers will be in their element with, for example, the FIS World Cup black slope at Svatý Petr. For freestylers tehe is a snowpark and new Funtracks, while we have 4 children´s parks with professionally-trained instructors for younger skiers. Parking by the cable cars is free and children to 6 years are free too.

LYSA HORA - THE HIGHEST PEAK OF THE BESKYDY MOUNTAINS

Lysá hora is situated in the land register of the villages of Ostravice, Krásná, Staré Hamry, and Malenovice. Lysá hora is sometimes nicknamed as the Queen of Moravskoslezské Beskydy. On its peak there is a meteorological station, a television transmitter, Mountain Rescue Service, SKI Mountain Hut, Šantán Buffet, Lysá hora Mountain Hut, and Kameňák Hostel. 

There are many popular holiday resorts for both winter and summer activities, with centers in the towns under the mountains (Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, Rožnov pod Radhoštěm) and also in smaller resorts, hamlets and chalets throughout the mountains, especially on the ridges. Parts of two euroregions, the Beskydy/Beskidy and Těšínské Slezsko/Śląsk Cieszyński, reach into the Moravian-Silesian Beskids.

The ski resort Javorový Vrch – Třinec is located in the Moravian-Silesian Region (Moravskoslezský kraj) (Czech Republic). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 2.7 km of slopes available. 4 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 462 and 968 m.
